Road Redemption – sucessor espiritual do clássico Road Rash – será lançado para PC, Mac e Linux em 15 de outubro deste ano, enquanto as versões para XBox One e Playstation 4 chegarão em 15 de janeiro de 2017.

O jogo estava originalmente previsto para agosto de 2014, mas o desenvolvedor Ian Fisch justifica o adiamento em um anúncio oficial: “Decidimos que como nossos apoiadores têm acesso a versões beta para PC, Mac e Linux, seria melhor aproveitar o tempo e lançar algo ótimo, ao invés de ser pressionado pela data originalmente anunciada no Kickstarter e lançar algo medíocre.”

A desenvolvedora PixelDash Studios também anunciou que as versões para Playstation 3 e Xbox 360 estão indefinitivamente adiadas, enquanto o lançamento para WiiU ainda será avaliado.

“O que aconteceu com Mighty Nº 9 mostra como um jogo potencialmente bom pode ser arrastado para baixo ao tentar atingir muitas plataformas,” afirmou o desenvolvedor. “Concentrando no PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One e PS4, podemos maximizar a física, AI e gráficos do Road Redemption, ao invés de ficarmos amarrados ao tentar suportar máquinas mais fracas.”

Mighty Nº 9 foi um sucesso de financiamento coletivo encabeçado por Keiji Inafune, criador de Mega Man, que após diversos adiamentos e polêmicas, foi finalmente lançado e mal recebido pela crítica e pelos jogadores. Confira nosso review do jogo.
